Purse Cleaning and Care
Because we use our purses everyday, we need to keep it lasting a long time, if you need to clean it, follow these simple steps. Purses that are produced by the top designers are useful for many years because of the quality that is placed into the design and functionality of the final product. Year after year many styles are discontinued.
Purse Cleaning
Evening bags, usually made of delicate fabrics, should be professionally cleaned. When other fabric bags are new, treat them with a stain-repelling spray before using them. To remove common stains, use warm water and mild soap on a clean cloth, or use a spot-removing product. First, thoroughly test the soap or the product in an inconspicuous area, like the bottom or under a flap. If the fabric is washable, very dirty or not too delicate, use a nailbrush or a solution of gentle laundry detergent. Scrape or wipe off the residue, then wipe the bag with a cloth and allow it to air dry. You may need to use upholstery cleaner for some nonwashable bags.

Leather Purse Cleaning
Leather purses and accessories are generally made of finished leather. Clean them once a year with saddle soap, lathering it into the leather with a damp cloth or sponge. Use another damp cloth to wipe away the lather. Wipe the item dry and use a leather conditioner. For patented leather you may try vaseline to restore the sheen - shine.
How to Clean Straw Purse
Vacuum a straw purse for routine cleaning, using low suction and placing an old nylon stocking over the end of the nozzle to protect the straw. Use a soft cloth or cotton swab to apply undiluted detergent to dirty or greasy spots, then wipe with a clean cloth dampened in cool water and leave to air dry. Don’t use warm water, which can distort the straw. If the straw is reasonably firm, you can apply an aerosol fabric protector to help keep the purse from becoming soiled. Let the coating dry thoroughly before using the bag or it will rub off on your clothing.
